Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy is also known as LLLT (low-level laser therapy), is a non-invasive treatment that can help reduce pain, inflammation, and accelerate wound healing. This therapy uses a laser beam to penetrate the skin’s surface and stimulate superficial tissues. LLLT is a type of laser therapy that uses light or radiation as an energy source.

Studies have shown that LLLT can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions, including joint osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, tendinitis, fibromyalgia, migraine, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve pain, wound healing, and chronic pain. At ProFizix Physical Therapy and Wellness, our experienced therapists may recommend LLLT in conjunction with your treatment plan to help accelerate the healing process. Please note that while LLLT is a safe and painless treatment, it may not be covered by most insurance plans. The duration of each treatment session is about 15-20 minutes, and we will provide you with a list of contraindications before starting the therapy.

Conditions that can benefit from cold laser therapy are included but not limited to:

  • Joint Osteo-arthritis
  • Rheumatoid-arthritis
  • Tendinitis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraine
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Nerve Pain
  • Wound Healing
  • Chronic Pain
