Cold Laser Therapy is also known as LLLT (low-level laser therapy), is a non-invasive method to reduce pain and inflammation and enhance wound healing by penetrating laser beams to superficial tissues under the skin. LLLT is a type of laser therapy that utilizes light or radiation as a source of energy. Studies have shown this non-invasive and painless method would be beneficial to enhance tissue healing, relieve pain, reduce edema and inflammation, and regenerate skin.

Conditions that can benefit from laser therapy are included but not limited to:

  • Joint Osteo-arthritis
  • Rheumatoid-arthritis
  • Tendinitis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraine
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Nerve Pain
  • Wound Healing
  • Chronic Pain

LLLT could be useful in conjunction with your treatment plan and to accelerate the healing process. However, it may not be covered by most insurances. The process takes about 15-20 minutes based on the treatment area. For more details and a list of contraindications, please reach out to your therapist.
